First, let me make it clear that I AM A CHRISTIAN, so you know right out of the gate, where I stand. I’m going to start with one part of typical American “Easter” celebrations that used to bring me great joy as a child, and now as an adult, makes my stomach lurch. I think once you read this, you may have the same reaction. Do you have any idea how the tradition of Easter Eggs got started? Or how “dyeing” them began? Think for a moment, is there mentioned ANYWHERE in scripture about this tradition? However, you do find several mentions of child sacrifice in the Bible.
Just one sickening aspect of “Easter Eggs” is the fact that eggs were dyed using the blood of infants sacrificed to pagan gods. Pagan gods who used all kinds of symbols of fertility, such as eggs and rabbits. Even the word “Easter” is a pagan god. Witches and satanists celebrate “Easter” also. I prefer to say Happy Resurrection Day, and point to the true reason for this “season.”
This is “mixture”. Mixing the holy with the unrighteous. I used to feel that ignorance of the origins of these types of things was an excuse that the Father would tolerate, but I have long since been convicted otherwise. 2 Corinthians 6:15: “What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial (the devil)?”
Imagine that YOUR CHILD was brutally murdered, and on the anniversary of that murder, instead of your community showing pictures of your beloved, they were parading around with pictures of the murderer and teaching their children to honor and celebrate the murderer instead. Imagine how the Father & the Son feel about these “celebrations” co-existing and DISTRACTING from the greatest event in history? Imagine Jesus’ heart, when he sees our precious children PLAYING with symbols of child sacrifice to pagan gods.
In today’s world, where we have been horrified to learn that these practices are still carried out in modern times, not just “in days of old”, it multiplies the revulsion in my heart. If you haven’t heard of the term “adrenochrome” yet, it’s time you did. Don’t just rely on Google search engines for this information, use others like DuckDuckGo and Brave to find this information. I will warn you, it will break your heart, and I think you will look at things like Easter Eggs much differently.
A final note on this holiday: even the date that we celebrate “Easter” is determined by pagan standards, based on phases of the moon. To my knowledge, it has nothing to do with any real historical evidence of the time Jesus was actually crucified and resurrected, but again is more of a reference to rebirth from a pagan point of view. 2 Corinthians 6:14b – “…for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” and verse 16, “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?…” And in Amos 5:21-26, the Lord says, “I hate, I despise your appointed feasts,….No but instead of bringing Me the appointed sacrifices you carried about the tent of your king Sakkuth and Kaiwan (names for the gods of the planet Saturn), your images of your star-god which you made for yourselves (and will do so again).” This is the Amplified translation, but the King James version translates verse 26, like this, with pagan names perhaps more familiar to you: “But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.”
“Easter” is just one of many, many examples of how paganism is weaved in our government, our history and even our churches and “religion”. Satan is subtle with his deception, remember 2 Corinthians 11:14 – “And it is no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light;…” and who does he want MOST to deceive but our children?
My desire in writing this was to shed light on deception. Our “traditions of men” should not be more precious to us than our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, regardless of how “cute” it may appear at first glance. In my opinion, this is the devil spitting in our Lord’s face and mocking Him. It is awful enough when non-Christians participate in this sort of thing, but imagine the Lord’s heart to see His children, even when out of ignorance, using symbols to represent this holiday which in truth celebrates everything He is against. These symbols are indeed anti-Christ.
So I will not say “Happy Easter”, but instead, I wish you a Happy Resurrection Day!
